At least 50% of the time I am getting denied access to the shared folders from within the console and the control center using my login, and I know I have permissions to do everything.I am using vista ultimate on a workstation within the network. Which I thought I had if I was in the RDP groupAlso, i seem to have a horrible time with permissions. Says i dont have allow log on through terminal services right. Even thought the user is part of the remote desktop group. I get a message saying that I am unable to login. I have some basic questions if you dont mind. How do I RDP into the HP ? I have tried this using remote Desktop to the server local IP and and after inputing my login/password.

Hp Mediasmart Server Ex470 Memory Manual And Microsoft

It seems like the HP manual and Microsoft really need to think about re writing the docs to help users reach the maximum potential for the server. It is fine piece of software that is complimented by HP's durability in hardware.I'm still looking intothe CPU upgrade. But yet I cant see the HP in the networkBy default none of the users other then "administrator" will be allowed terminal server access. In order to enable terminal server access you will need to do it through the Computer MMC Snap in.First start by opening RDP then login using the administrator account. Now right click my computer and click manage.Right click on the user then hit the "Terminal Server Profile"This will allow the normal user to access the server via RDP.I would recommend just using the adminstrator account for the RDP connections.IN orde rto access the shares from the WHS server and the client machines it is wise to sync the usernames and passwords.Otherwise you will have to enable the "guest"account with a minimum of read permissions on the shares.Again best practice is to set the same username & passowrd on your vista machine as you have on your WHS server. If you need help cracking the case open just let me know. Also if you need some more help with the server I would be more then happy to assist.I am considering creating a HOWTO document on all this stuff. I am connected to the network, the server is reporting healthy. I've tried deleting and creating my account and that doesnt seem to work.

SilentPCReview doesn't have much on 4-pin fans. I have some very quiet 3-pin fans, but the HP has 4-pin fan connectors. If it doesn't work, Newegg does accept returns on retail CPUs, provided you get the RMA number and the return is postmarked within 7 days of the invoice date.I'm also looking at my options for quieter fans. Worst case, the HP doesn't boot and I put the old CPU back in. The BE-2400 is a bit expensive now at $99, but I read that a price cut was planned for early January, when AMD will also unveil the 2450 (dual core 2.5GHz 45W).The difference between 35W and 45W isn't a big deal - the equivalent of one hard drive. The chance of it causing damage is slim to none.

In the case of the original link I posted that would have been the better of the two.Does in fact show you the difference and has a decent article exlpaining the timing.Let me also toss my opinion in saying that timing really does only have about 2-5% overall perfomance weigh in overall on RAM.I find the biggest bang for the buck is the 5-5-5 on "servers". It depends on the speed combined with the timing. Please explain.Wel it is simply timing of the RAM. And then I asked in the store which was the better. In fact, earlier in the thread, LiveGadgets speaks of how he should have gone with 4-4-4-4 instead of 5-5-5-5.
